Live Intelligence
55 propertiesNews wires, the federal record, weather, quakes, rivers, the sky and transit.
Quakes as the USGS posts them, storms from the National Hurricane Center’s own file, tides off NOAA’s stations: each desk reads the agency and draws what came back.

Overview
labs.llc builds and runs its own web properties: free live-data desks, tools, games and guides. They are filed by subject into rooms — News, Earth, Games, Words, Sound, Markets, Internet, Utilities, Health, Cities, Design, Brands and Labs — so the way in is a subject, not a name.
The live desks read their sources directly — USGS, NOAA, the National Hurricane Center, the SEC, the FDA — and say so when a feed is late. Questions, corrections and offers go to one address: labs@labs.llc.

The rooms
The book is filed into thirteen rooms, and every property is in exactly one. Each door opens a page that lists what is behind it with a line on each one saying what it actually does. Behind the doors, the desks are free to read, the tools to run and the games to play.
The rooms are read from the site’s own register in your browser. With JavaScript off, every one of them is listed on the sitemap.
Our Expertise
Most of what gets called a portfolio is a list of domains. This one is a list of things that are switched on. Every property here was designed, written and shipped in-house, and the ones that carry live data have been carrying it continuously — not a demo, not a mock, an actual feed with an actual refresh interval.
The discipline is ownership. We do not licence the brand, rent the stack or hand the operations to somebody else. What we build, we keep running.
Live sites and applications across six practices, most of them served here on labs.llc.
Desks whose own code reads an upstream host — counted off the tree by tools/mkwires.py, listed one at a time at /wires/, and including the front door, which reads the Treasury itself.
Distinct hosts the estate’s own JavaScript and PHP read — 120 asked straight from your browser, 158 only through a relay on this origin, every one named on the wires desk.
The full register behind every live build — active properties and strategic holdings, conservatively valued at $4.8M+.
What We Do
The book is organised by what a property actually does, not by what it is built with: 218 properties in six practices. Under each, a note from its desk, dealt fresh on every visit, about a page you can open and check. A practice is a way of filing, not a price list: a desk under Live Intelligence is as free to use as a game under Diversions.

The Portfolio
Every property, what it does and where it lives. Filter by practice, or read it straight through — the register is the same list the firm works from. For a visitor it doubles as an index to the free tools, desks and games.
Two pages list the book without scripts: The Register, asset by asset, and the sitemap, page by page.
What We Believe
A position is tested when keeping it costs something. The Audits page records one such cost: 270 entries cut.
The more a super intelligence can write, the more a named source is worth. The Wires names this site’s data sources by host.
The Figures page prints numbers with the commands that recompute them. The build runs each command and fails on a mismatch.
A reading without its time is only a number. Quake shows when it read the USGS feed and when the feed stamped itself.
